Update a Contracted Claim Line Item

Use this tutorial to update line item information for a contracted claim.

Complete the following steps to Update a Contracted Claim Line Item:

  1. Click the Enter a Contracted Claim quick link on the Home page.  The Enter a Contracted Claim page displays.

  2. Complete information in the following controls to specify the provider and client information for the claim, and to select the type of claim:

NOTE:  You can click Client Search to search for a client as necessary.  When clicked, the page refreshes and displays Client Search functionality.  Complete information in one or more of the following controls to search for an select a client:

  • In Last Name, enter the last name of the client on which to search.  You can enter partial information to widen your search.

  • In Date Of Birth, enter the date of birth  on which to search.

  • In Social Security Number, enter the specific Social Security Number on which to search.

 

Click Search to perform a search based on the search criteria specified.  The page refreshes and results found to match the search criteria are displayed in the Clients table.  Click the Select link to select a client.  When clicked, the page refreshes and the selected client's information is entered in the Client Number and Client Date Of Birth fields under Contracted Claim Information.

  1. Click Enter Detail to enter claim line item information for the claim.  The page refreshes and displays Claim Detail information.

  2. Click the Edit link in the Claim Lines table for the specific claim line.  The page refreshes and Claim Line Entry information becomes editable.

  3. Update the following information under Claim Line Entry for the claim line item as necessary:

  1. In Service Date, update the date on which the service was performed for the claim line item (only available for Service and Reimbursement claims).  Up to 10 characters may be entered.

  2. In Start Date, update the date on which the service began for the claim line item (only available for Bulk claims).

  3. In End Date, update the date on which the service ended for the claim line item (only available for Bulk claims).

  4. In Service, update the name of the service performed for the claim line item.

  5. In Units, update the total number of units claimed for the claim line item (only available for Service claims).

  6. In Units Per Day, update the total number of units claimed per day for the claim line item (only available for Bulk claims).

  7. In Amount, update the total amount claimed for the claim line item.

  1. Click Update Claim Line.

NOTE:  You can repeat steps 4-6 above to update additional line items as necessary.
